5 tips to eat healthier + feel better

Potato salad, cheeseburgers, BBQ + fries, homemade ice cream... Saying goodbye to your diet has been too easy this summer – until the sluggish feeling sets in.

A few tips from Blush Nutrition to avoid the regret:

🍽 Use those portioned plates. But don’t fill the big section with mashed potatoes and cornbread – use it for veggies, and put lean meat + carbs in each of the smaller sections.

🍳 Start meal planning. You don’t have to have Tupperware ready for the next two weeks, but look ahead at what days you might want to cook something nutritious in advance (i.e. if you have a big event or are gonna spend all night packing for vacation).

🍹Make good drink choices. Alternate each alcoholic drink you have with water, and cut down on drinks like lemonade and soda. You’ll eliminate a ton of sugar.

🍰 Follow the 80/20 rule. Eat foods you know are good for you 80% of the time, and enjoy a treat 20% of the time. (Don’t beat yourself up for having a few sugary margaritas, but get back on the wagon in the morning.)

💪 Plan workouts ahead of time. Sit down on Sunday and schedule a few exercise sessions for the week like you would any other appointment.
