Half-Moon Outfitters is in the final year of its lease next to Trek Bicycle Store near the intersection of Laurens and Pleasantburg roads. The shop has been in that location since 1994 but decided to move to a busier area of town: into a 14,000-square-foot building at 603 E. Stone Ave.

The increase in space will let the store show off a lot more paddleboards and kayaks that were previously in storage. But they only plan to use about 10,000 sq ft and lease the rest to become a restaurant, local brewery or boutique coffee concept.

Half-Moon is hoping the nearby Richland Creek Basin could be part of the Greenville Health System Swamp Rabbit Trail extension or creation of another trail so they could be directly involved.
