8 Independence Day events you won’t want to miss

Fireworks with the fam, barbecues in the backyard, hot dogs by the pool. ☀ These are all the things we have been thinking about instead of work this weekand which of these events we’re going to hit up to celebrate the Fourth of July.

🎆 Wells Fargo Red, White and Blue Festival | 5 – 10 p.m. | Fluor Field | Live music on two stages, plenty of food, and a giant fireworks show. | Pro tip: If you can, leave your car at home to avoid looking for parking + missing the fireworks.

🎆 Greenville FC vs Asheville City | 7 – 10 p.m. | Eugene E. Stone III Stadium | Spend your 4th supporting GVL’s new sports team in the Carolina Clasico game against Asheville | $9+

🎆 4th of July at Topside | 6 – 11 p.m. | Topside Pool Club | A perfect view of the fireworks, with live DJ music, drink specials + late night pizza. 🍕| Free for members, $15 for guests

🎆 Picnic in the Sky | 7 – 10 p.m. | Commerce Club | Watch the sunset over the mountains then enjoy the prime views of fireworks from the top floor + a build-your-own burger bar | Call 864-633-2020 to reserve your spot and dress in summer casual clothes | Adults: $21.95+; ages 4 to 11: $12.95; ages 3 and under: Free

🎆 Swamp Rabbit Café 4th of July Cookout | 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. | Swamp Rabbit Café | Don’t worry about bringing anything, they will have all the classic American dishes covered.

🎆 July 4th Weekend Family Fun | 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. | Chimney Rock | Looking for an escape from the big crowds? Climb away from the madness but keep the views.

🎆 Red, White, & Boom | 6 – 10 p.m. | Barnet Park in Spartanburg | Bring cash + lawn chairs or blankets but leave pets at home. The loud noises and crowds can be scary for dogs. | $5 (free for children 6 + under)

🎆 Stars and Stripes Cakes Kids Class | 4 – 6 p.m. | Cakes By U | Bring the kiddos out to bake an Independence Day cake...then bring it to your neighbor’s BBQ later. | $25 (register in advance)
