CurioCity + Coffee

Every morning, we try to tell our readers everything you need to know to start your day. But we’ll admit there are some gaps in what we know. So we want to hear your voices.

Our goal is to create a more connected and engaged Greenville. We can only do that if we’re doing our part to represent all of Greenville’s communities, reflect our racial diversity + various cultures, and share the voices of people different from us.

In other words: We want to cover content that is interesting to everyone.

This month, we’re kicking off CurioCity + Coffee – an open conversation for anyone who wants to share their thoughts + ideas, where we want to be the ones listening. Basically an idea jam session: everyone brings something cool and we’re all able to learn.

This month we’re focusing on cultural diversity. Later this year, we’ll be leaning on other groups, like young parents + retirees, to tell us what’s going on in their worlds that we might be missing, and what they want to know from us.

So here’s our first step: we want to start February (and Black History Month) by asking a few questions:

  • What stories, organizations, people + issues should we pay closer attention to?
  • What do you think is going on in Greenville that we don’t know about?

We’re inviting anyone who wants to chat about cultural diversity in our area to meet us for coffee at Endeavor (📍Fourth Floor, 1 North Main Street) on Feb. 27 or 28. Just reply to this email to RSVP and we will tell you where to park + how to get there.
