Falls Park , 601 S. Main St. | You know we had to. There are plenty of things to occupy you at Falls Park, but if you need to disconnect, you’re sure to find a quiet spot to dive into a book.

Rock Quarry Garden , No exact address, but 200 McDaniel Ave. is pretty close | This spot is a little off the beaten path, but its waterfall, flora, and general fairy-core atmosphere is perfect to escape into a book.
NOMA Square , 220 N. Main St., Ste. 500 | Sometimes, you just need to do a little people watching to get you in the reading mood.
Camperdown Plaza , 20 E. Broad St. | Where can you read a book + grab a drink, a cookie, ice cream, or a burger? Answer: Camperdown Plaza.
Drinks + Food
A20 Market Coffee Shop, 26 Augusta St. | This coffee shop + boutique is the perfect place to tuck yourself into a corner and read while you enjoy a snack.
Greenville Beer Exchange , 7 S. Laurens St., Ste. A | Now that the tasting room is open, grab a pint of your favorite brew and pick a cozy spot. Pro tip: If you need a reading break, you can play on one of the vintage arcade machines.
Spill the Beans , 531 S. Main St. | We could have added this to our “outdoors” section because of the patio, but this spot gives you the best of both worlds. Sit inside and grab a coffee or a scoop of ice cream, or sit outside and enjoy the day.
Mountain Goat , 120 Shaw St. | At Mountain Goat, you can sip on a coffee or tea while you read and know your money is going to a good cause. Mountain Goat donates 100% of its proceeds to a non-profit called GOAT, which gives kids from under-served communities the opportunity to “take in the wonder of nature and expand their horizons.”

The Velo Fellow , 1 Augusta St., Ste. 126 | Talk about a cozy nook. Velo has plenty of comfy seating that’s a bit out of the way. Pro tip: Sit in the big comfy chair right by the bar. Unless I’m there. Then kindly move and let me sit there.

The Grand Bohemian Lodge , 44 E. Camperdown Way | Sitting on the deck overlooking the falls, enjoying a cocktail at Spirit and Bower by the fire, or getting cozy in the library, you can’t go wrong with reading at The Lodge.
Greenville County Libraries , multiple locations | Call me old fashioned, but there’s something special about checking out a book + you can find me browsing at the Five Forks branch and reading a sample before I head home.
