#DYK: Greenville currently offers only *two* food delivery services: Bite Squad + GrubHub. We tried them out so you don’t have to (and also because we were just really hungry and it was a rainy Monday).

11:50 a.m.: All 3 orders placed from downtown restaurants (yes at the same time)

12:21 p.m.: Logan’s Gringo’s via GrubHub order arrives (31 minutes)

12:27 p.m.: Kendall’s Trios via BiteSquad order arrives (37 minutes)

12:35 p.m.: Heather + Jordan’s Happy and Hale via BiteSquad order arrives (45 minutes but it’s for a good reason)

Perks of Bite Squad (partnered with 864togo):

👥 Group orders = pay separately. No more “Can I Venmo you?” then never receiving that Venmo…

💳 No minimum required purchase for delivery.

📱 Track your order from the moment it’s placed ’til the second it’s placed into your arms ❤️

Not Perks:

💸 BiteSquad charges booking fees + taxes. This doesn’t include a tip for the driver (so make sure to hand over a few dollars).

🍸 BiteSquad delivers liquor in certain U.S. locations...but not S.C.

Kendall’s review: “Bite Squad was super quick, and they were really friendly. I’d recommend + use again.”

Heather’s review: “I asked for no nuts on my salad due to an allergy. My order took longer than expected, but Jessica with Bite Squad had double checked my order and found nuts, so she had the restaurant remake it. Thanks for saving my life, Jessica 😅”

Perks of GrubHub:

⏰ Schedule your order or have it delivered ASAP.

💳 No delivery fee (they charge restaurants small fees with every order so GrubHub is technically ~free~ for you to use as a customer.) Still, make sure you tip your driver.

🔎 You can sort your search by rating, price + delivery time

Not Perks:

💸 $10 minimum purchase required

🌯 Limited options

Logan’s review: “I mean the food was good, and super quick - who doesn’t like delivery tacos?”

Other delivery services not currently in GVL (that we probably need because we want it all):

- Postmates: $3.99 delivery fee that changes by city. Postmates gives customers the option to pay a yearly fee for deliveries + get free delivery credits.

- DoorDash: Gives updates on how busy restaurants are so you’ll know how long your food will take. Like BiteSquad, DoorDash delivers alcohol, just not to SC.

- UberEats: Like Uber, UberEats lets you track your driver, get delivery time estimates + has surge charges for when drivers are busiest.
