Christ Church Episcopal School will begin welcoming back students on August 24 with a detailed safety plan in place. Along with all the new students, CCES is also welcoming a new Head of School, David Padilla , who will lead the school during these unconventional times. Padilla, who moved from Baylor School, a premiere co-educational boarding and day school in Tennessee, to Greenville earlier this summer, brings a wealth of experience and a shared passion for independent school education to the CCES team.
Students will experience a sense of familiarity as they head back to school with in-person instruction over the course of a 5-day school week. To ensure the safety of students and staff, administrators have created a structured plan to get the Cavalier community back on campus safely.
Here are a few things to expect at CCES during the 2020-21 school year:
- Daily temperature screenings
- Physical distancing
- Mask wearing
- Targeted cleaning and disinfecting of all areas
- Frequent handwashing
- Coordinated transitions to lessen interactions between large groups of students
- Digital learning opportunities for students that require off-campus instruction
