Bullrush Gin at Six & Twenty Distillery

A great gin and tonic is hard to beat during this Indian summer we’re experiencing and my top pick for gin these days is Bullrush, distilled right here by Six & Twenty for Broad Creek Spirits.

Why am I gaga over this gin? Well, it’s less Christmas tree, more lavender; less toothpaste, more ginger. It’s smooth and subtle with a beautiful nose. Technically it’s a small batch spirit distilled in copper stills, soaked by hand with a pillowcase of juniper berry, coriander, angelica, citrus peel, the aforementioned lavender and ginger as well as a little magic.

At under $30 a bottle of Bullrush is a steal for your bar and a stellar go-to gift. Paired with some Fever-tree tonic and ice, you can feel like a fancy-pants mixologist. There’s a bourbon barrel aged gin too if you want to try something different.
