Main Street has a new frozen offering that’s not ice cream, not yogurt and don’t call it a snow cone… it’s slush.

It’s all fruit, frozen and scraped for a delicious treat. At the helm of Slush Buddies is chef and culinary instructor, Eric Stein, who moved here from Chicago last year, wanting to launch a fun foodie-centric warm weather concept.

Honeysuckle is his signature flavor and offered at the Slush Buddies cart in front of the symphony building (that’s between M. Judson and City Hall); it’s honeyed strawberry slush and you can make it a “sno-ball” by topping it with sweetened condensed milk.

My fave specialty flavor I call Monkey Business, though it’s really Banana Macchiato topped with dulce de leche. It’s a ridiculous combination of coffee, caramel with just a hint of banana adding a creamy smoothness. There are lots more creations to try including “floats”: slush topped with Jarritos soda (cherry slush with lime Jarritos is magic in a cup).

Go check out this awesome whole foods treat that you’ll know every ingredient in it… as a mom of a daughter with a food allergy, this is a game changer. There’s even slush for your pup!
