#BucketDish - Birds Fly South Turns ONE

Do we remember a Greenville without Birds Fly South? It’s hard to imagine that just a year ago the superheroes of Saison quietly went into production at the not-nearly-complete Hampton Station.

This Saturday they’ll raise a cup to celebrate and we’re all invited. Two highly anticipated pours will occur. The first is a blended sour three years in the making and we get to announce its name: Love.Birds.1.

The second is a barrel-aged edition of Wolves in the Piano adding a bourbon-y goodness to what in my book was already a perfect maple stout.

Will there be music? Yep, 1-9 p.m. including favorites Darby & The Peep Show and The LOZ Band. Will there be food? If you haven’t been to White Duck Taco Shop right next door, then this is your chance to scarf a stellar pork belly taco. Will there be entertainment? The uber-nuts TimTv and the Secret Cirkus will perform.

So bring your friends, bring your kids, bring your sunscreen (don’t bring your dog) and celebrate the magic of old school ale. Let’s toast the BFS gang for making Greenville their brewery terra firma.
