Right now is when something extraordinary happens in Columbia so get in your car and go: it’s Tiki Week at BOURBON. It occurs every winter (and boy do we need this here in the GVL). Kristian Niemi’s downtown eatery is transformed into the ultimate tiki bar, in decoration, in menu and in drink and it is big, giant fun.

Order this: the tiki baby back ribs. They are brined and glazed with a sweet mustard glaze and are tremendously good. Pair them with a Hibiscus Rum Punch or my favorite sip: the Rikki Tikki Tavi (Cruzan Black Strap Rum, Jim Beam Black, Lime Juice, Creaole Shrub, Falernum and Tiki Bitters). The cocktails at BOURBON are made by hand and slurpably delicious.
