There are two types of cheese: the kind you nibble off a platter with crackers + prosciutto, then there’s cheese that melts + stretches in gooey globs of deliciousness. Enter: the all-American grilled cheese sandwich.

This is the south, comfort food isn’t just for cold weather. We are on a mission to try alllll the grilled cheeses that y’all recommended to us. In case you also want to start a grilled cheese bucket list, here’s ours:

🧀 DishOut Cafe & Catering: 728 Wade Hampton Blvd | Grilled cheese on pita: cheddar, mozzarella, provolone - with choice of signature sauce | $10

🧀 Nose Dive | 116 S Main St | Tillamook Cheddar, Caramelized Onions, Shaved Apple, Melted Brie, Arugula, Fig Spread, Toasted Hearth Bread | Gluten-free bread available | $9

🧀 GB&D | 1269 Pendleton St | Menu changes regularly so check their Insta stories or just stop by

🧀 Soby’s on the Side | 22 E Court St | Don’t miss their Grilled Cheese Wednesday

🧀 Brick Street Cafe | 315 Augusta St | Pro tip: Add a slice of tomato to it before they toast it. It’s soooo good.
