Last month, 900 of you heeded the call and provided us with your feedback on our daily email (we love you.)

Our goal is to build a brand for the Greenville community, by the Greenville community. Collaborative and informational, that continues to improve, everyday. Our daily email isn’t just representative of a handful of writers behind a computer screen.

Since y’all took time to tell us what you think, we wanted to report back what we heard.
1️⃣ You guys really dig the briefs, and want to continue to stay informed on the events happening around Greenville. It was hands down the reader-favorite section of our email, and we’re working on new ways to give you guys a better heads up on what’s happening around town. (See our #PlanAhead tag for more of those.)

2️⃣ A diverse content offering and community voices are important to you. You want to hear from members of the community and also want to learn more about opportunities in Greenville for all ages. We’re actively seeking new contributors for our website and newsletter, so click here if you’re interested in having your voice heard.

3️⃣ When asked if our email was too short or too long, a majority of you felt the length was right on the money 💰. We even asked if you felt our writing tone was too serious or too silly and if our writing was more liberal or conservative. Turns out we’re a little light hearted, and our writing is portrayed to be slightly more liberal than conservative. We try to stay unbiased, so this feedback was helpful for us to improve.

4️⃣ We also learned that you want less: fashion and national news

… and you want more: Business, civic & community topics, fitness & wellness, and Greenville history. (We really saw this yesterday with the dozens of memories from our #TBT photo.)
Also, for those of you who like stats (man raising hand emoji); 61% of our readers are under the age of 45, 39% are older than 45 and 36% of our readers are between 25 and 34 years old.

Once again, your feedback is super important to us as we grow and continue to improve how we deliver Greenville’s news to you.

We want to be as transparent as possible when we ask for your opinion, so stay tuned, and we’ll keep you updated on how we plan on putting your feedback into practice.
