Do you ever drive around admiring Greenville’s beautiful homes? Is Zillow your most-opened app? If your answer is yes, we have a new Instagram account to put on your radar.

Meet @homesofgvl. From Tudors to cottages + mill houses to craftsman, this new Instagram account highlights the old, the new, and the renovated around our city.

The account made its first post on Aug. 30, so when we say new… we mean new. We’re taking a look at some of its first posts to help you get ahead of the trend and on the follow train.

The Earle Town House on James Street was previously believed to be built in 1810, making it one of the oldest structures in Greenville. However, @homesofgvl notes many historians now believe it was built in the 1820s or 1830s. Either way, it’s a beautiful historic property and is listed on the US National Register of Historic Places.

The star of this home in the Overbrook area is the chimney, according to @homesofgvl, but our favorite feature is the lozenge windows.

Fall vibes

This photo was taken by @homesofgvl last fall, before the account was created, but we think the foliage and the spooky decor make the cedar shake A-frame even cozier.

If you’re like us and can’t wait for more content, give @homesofgvl a follow. The mystery poster says content is planned for the next few months, so there’s plenty to look forward to.
