🔎 A Stone Cottage mystery

Construction is underway on Stone Cottage, the 1894 Falls Cottage overlooking Reedy River Falls. Owners of Passerelle Bistro will open a new restaurant and small event space featuring grab-and-go sandwiches, soups, and salads, with an opening planned for this summer.

We’re coming to our audience with a mystery found in the cottage walls. This art was found during demolition, and we’d love to know the story behind it.
I know this is a long shot, but we do have ~70,000 of you reading this newsletter who may recognize the art and point us toward the mystery artist. If you know, reply to this email and let me know.

Students worth celebrating

Greenville County is full of students and teachers doing incredible work, and we’re kicking off a new series called “Fantastic Scholastic” to tell those stories. First up, Mission: Robotics. Who: Christ Church Episcopal School (CCES) students Lillian and Nicky Arzt + J.L. Mann student Henry Quackenbush were nominated by Jamie Inman, Assistant Head for Advancement at CCES.
What: After aging out of competitive robotics, they launched Mission: Robotics, a student-led nonprofit helping Title I elementary and middle schools in Greenville County start FIRST Lego League teams — covering funding, supplies, and mentorship.
Why it matters: They’re removing cost barriers to STEM education, and it’s already paying off: Lead Academy’s fifth-grade team recently placed first in Core Values and is headed to regionals.
