Greenville County is considering adding impact fees for new development to help fund road improvements as our population grows. The City of Greenville and the Greenville Housing Fund broke ground on Southernside East, an affordable housing community at the corner of Washington and Hudson Streets near Unity Park set to open in 2027. It will feature 93 units, including 55 supported by Project-Based Vouchers to serve extremely low-income seniors.

After a decade, Sol Flowers in Anderson County has closed. The volunteer-run sunflower farm raised ~$100,000 for local causes through the Foothills Community Foundation. Though the fields will keep blooming for a few weeks, sales have ended as the farm wraps its final season. (FOX Carolina)
