Craving a slower pace, organic food, and fresh air?

Located at the edge of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Longview Carolina is a private urban “agrihood” stretching across 180 scenic acres in Easley, South Carolina. The nature-focused community is built around wellness principles like healthy eating, outdoor movement, and collaboration.

One of Longview’s centerpieces is the on-site organic farm, where families of all ages pitch in to grow and harvest nourishing foods. The farm features vegetable fields, berry patches, greenhouses, and free-ranging chickens for fresh eggs.

Food distribution is structured as a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program, meaning residents share in the seasonal harvests. Talk about farm-to-table.

Community members will also enjoy:
  • Miles of hiking and biking trails winding through 60 acres of preserved green space
  • A pool
  • Pickleball courts
  • Fireside patios
  • Campsites
Bonus: While each homesite is unique, all residents can soak in the panoramic mountain views from Longview’s peak.

News Notes

Number

$488.5 million. That’s the proposed Greenville County budget for fiscal year 2025-2026. If approved, the budget — which prioritizes public safety + investments in infrastructure — would slightly lower millage rates (taxable dollars per value of a property). Its next step is going before County Council later this month. (Greenville Journal)

Did you get a surprise check in the mail? If so, it’s called a “Palmetto Paycheck,” and you got it because you have unclaimed property (think: old bank accounts, uncashed checks, and stock certificates). Find out if you’re getting one. (Greenville News)

Artisphere is a great reminder that Greenville has a vibrant art scene. One of our all-time favorite galleries? Greenville itself.

One of Greenville’s only ever-changing murals is in Camperdown Plaza. It now showcases the art of Alexander Rouse, Bella Bishara, Jo El, and Greenville Center for Creative Arts, promoting Jazz Fest, happening Friday, May 30, and Saturday, May 31
