This Statewide Multimodal Transportation Plan, which is updated every five years, considers the evolving transportation needs of SC due to changes in population, economic shifts, environmental impacts, safety concerns, and travel behaviors. It looks at every mode of transportation (think: planes, trains, automobiles, and more).
The plan has four main goals:
Ensuring maintenance of existing infrastructure
Investing in our interstate system
Tackling traffic congestion in urban areas + enhancing access for rural communities
Collaborating with various modes of transportation
SCDOT leverages public engagement in this process, and you’re asked to fill out surveys, attend public meetings, and stay informed through the process. Step one? Click the button below.

Greenville County Council introduced a resolution opposing legislation at the State House which would dissolve or significantly restructure the Greater Greenville Sanitation District. Because the legislation is at the state level, the county says it has no say in what happens, but it said sending opposition is an “important message.” (Greenville Journal)

It’s officially spring, and we’re turning to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Climate Prediction Center to see what temperatures and precipitation trends to expect this season.
🌡️ Temperature
Think warm. This spring, Greenville has a 40-50% chance of temperatures being higher than normal.
🌨️ Precipitation
Expect average precipitation. Greenville has equal chances of seeing an above average and below average amount of rain this spring. We’re right in the middle.
I was driving on I-385 and spotted a Greenville Triumph billboard featuring my favorite player Kamden. In case you missed it, Kamden is a Make-A-Wish kid who wished “to be the greatest soccer player ever.” I’ll have more details in a story for you soon, but the Greenville Triumph wants its biggest crowd ever in the stands at Paladin Stadium to cheer Kamden on in his debut on Saturday, March 29. Can you make it?
