There’s a new festival in town. The inaugural Mushroom Festival is taking over Pangaea Brewing from Thursday, Nov. 21 to Saturday, Nov. 23.
The brewery is teaming up with Cap and Petal, a local mushroom and flower farm, to host the weekend filled with all things fungi.

That’s how much medical technology company Samaritan Biologics will invest in a manufacturing facility at Clemson University’s International Center for Automotive Research campus (CU-ICAR). Bryan Beal, founder of the Innovative Hospitality and Development Group (IHDG), toured an old mill in Fountain Inn over three years ago. Now, he’s operating a brewery on the site + will open a food hall today.
Located at the corner of Ellison and Wall Streets, just steps from Fountain Inn’s Main Street., the old flour mill — which is on the National Register of Historic Places — houses three tin-clad wood structures. They’ve been restored with an emphasis on preserving the site’s history + repurposing original materials in the process.
