Make mushroom on your calendar — there’s a new festival in town. The inaugural Mushroom Festival is taking over Pangaea Brewing from Thursday, Nov. 21 to Saturday, Nov. 23.
The brewery is teaming up with Cap and Petal, a local mushroom and flower farm, to host the weekend filled with all things fungi.
Here’s what you can expect day-by-day:
Thursday, Nov. 21
- Myco-brews mushroom beer launch
- Mushroom pizza specials
- Mushroom farming lecture
Friday, Nov. 22
Mushrooms Gone Wild, a chef showdown featuring six local chefs competing for best mushroom dish. Sip on three different Myco-brews and mushroom tea as you listen to live music and judge bites from:
- Hotel Hartness’ Chef Gianna Smutzki
- Society’s Chef Chris Rosensteel
- O-Ku’s Chef Jose Aguilar
- Pangaea’s Chef Charlie Phillip
- Curean’s Chef Austyn McGroarty
- Juniper’s Chef Ryan Smutzki
