We are so game. | Photo by The Game Show Challenge
Let the games begin. The Game Show Challenge, a unique-every-time game show experience, is coming to Hampton Station. This experience is the first of it’s kind in Greenville, and comes from Josh + Patty Brickey, who own an award-winning escape room in the Midlands (hey, COLAtoday). Get ready to be transported inside your favorite game show, and it’ll be different every time you play. We sat down with Josh and got the scoop about this experience.
Why game shows?
He told us he really wanted to create something you could replay. With escape rooms, once you’ve done it, you know how it ends, but this experience has multitude of different games.
What kinds of games can we expect?
“It mimics popular game shows with a twist,” he told us, with games like:
Fast paced, minute to win it tasks
A giant, seven-foot wheel game
“Family Feud-style” games
A “Plinko-style” board
Brain Buzz — an original trivia game where everyone gets a buzzer
Loose Connections — another original game where your job is to find the thing several items have in common
“There’s professional lighting and sound, a host, a producer, the works.”
How does it work?
Games take ~1 hour, include 3-5 different types of games + are designed for 6-14 people.
“Once you’ve booked, the space is yours. No one can walk in,” Josh said. “We can tailor every game to every group and the producer can alter things on the fly.”
Ready to book your party? Well, hold your horses. This location will officially launch next month, and you’ll be able to book on the weekends. We’ll see you there.

Beyond education: How Greenville Tech powers the local economy
Presented by Greenville Technical College

In the college’s recent report, Greenville Tech stood out for its education and economic influence. Let’s break it down:
The college contributed $627 million to boost the economy in the last fiscal year alone, supporting 8,500+ jobs.
Alumni contributed $485.4 million to the local economy through their professional roles.
Together, Greenville Tech and its students help sustain one of every 48 jobs in the county.
For every dollar spent on education, students can expect to earn nearly $8 in future earnings (read: a 30.5% average annual return).
Taxpayers get a $4 return for every dollar invested throughout a graduate’s career.
Greenville Tech’s influence extends far beyond the classroom. By driving economic growth, supporting thousands of jobs, and providing a strong return on investment for both students and taxpayers, the college is building a brighter future for the entire community.
An emergency roadside kit. The 90-piece set comes with a LED headlamp, tire repair kit, jumper cables, window breaker and seat belt cutter, first aid kit, and more.
Are you tired of seeing pictures of me in costume yet? This is one of my favorite costumes I’ve ever done, and definitely my punniest. Five points if you can guess what it is. If you’re stuck, the answer is in the caption.
