Opening
  • Scout’s Doughnuts has postponed the opening of its Main Street window (near the Chick-fil-A window by Warby Parker). While we wait for the new opening date, find out which fall flavor you should order.
Closing
  • After six years in business, The Eighth State Brewing Company is closing its doors at the end of September. Want to keep up with all the most recent restaurant and bars that are opening or closing in our area? Read more on our website.
Announced
  • Beyond Van Gogh + Beyond Monet — a “cutting-edge” projection art show — is coming to the Greenville Convention Center. Van Gogh’s work will be on display starting Nov. 1 and Monet will follow on Nov. 15. Catch both shows until Dec. 22 + tickets go on sale tomorrow.

  • The Bellwether — the eatery that took over the former Liberty Taproom space in 2023 — closed its doors on Sept. 23. No reason was given for the closure, and as of now, there are no plans for the space. (Greenville Journal)

Vintage Coffee Cafe, 1501 E. North St., Greenville | This Overbrook coffee shop has become a fast favorite from Greenvillians looking for a cup of coffee or a scrumptious breakfast or lunch.

Flying Fox Coffee, Multiple locations | Though Flying Fox has been on our list for a while now, it has two new locations: Inside GVL Art at 14 S. Main St. in Greenville + the former Stomping Grounds location at 208 Trade St. in Greer.

Little Leaf Coffee, 215 Trade St., Greer | With Flying Fox’s move to its own space, there was room for a new coffee tenant at Cartwright Food Hall.

Mercato Coffee Cafe, 29 W. Butler Rd., Mauldin | Located at BridgeWay Station, this shop serves Methodical Coffee and boasts plenty of seating if you’re looking for a space to get some work done.
