Shake the grass out of your favorite picnic blanket + grab the fam — Moonlight Movies presented by Champion Comfort Experts return to Falls Park this Thursday, Sept. 5.
When and where
Movies will be shown Thursdays in September and October at dusk near the Falls Park stage. Come early to grab your favorite spot on the lawn.
Food + drink
Local vendors will be on site serving food, and you can bring your own alcohol. Make sure you have an ID and that you purchase a $1 wristband.
What to bring (and leave)
You can also pack food and drinks from home. Be sure to bring chairs or blankets. Pro tip: The ground can be wet, so we recommend layering a tarp beneath a blanket.
Leave all pets, glass bottles + cups, and means of smoking at home.

Camperdown (built in 2017) continues to see new development. | Photo via Google Maps
Can you hear that? It’s construction beginning at the corner of Broad and Main Streets, because Auro Hotels (owner of the AC Hotel located in Camperdown) plans to open a live music and event venue.
According to permits obtained by The Post and Courier, the venue plans to remain open after midnight. Other details about the project are limited, and a spokesperson for Auro Hotels didn’t share more about the project with The Post and Courier, saying it is “a work in progress, and we will be sharing details when they are ready.”
This news is just the latest in of a growing number of downtown live music venues:
There were some mixed emotions on our Instagram when we said goodbye to the post-8 p.m. sunsets of summer. I’m on Team Fall. It’s my favorite time of the year to write for GVLtoday. From apple picking to a leaf peeking guide (coming soon), I love sharing my favorite season with you. The holiday season is a close second, though.
