When it comes to good food, it takes a village.

The owners of The 05 (Augusta Road) and The 07 (Laurens Road), Hartness, and former Hall’s Chophouse Executive Chef Nelson De Hoyos have partnered to open The one5 at Hartness, a new restaurant in Hartness’ Village Center (2000 Society St.), in the first or second week of May.

The food

Filling the former Village Kitchen space (which permanently closed on Sunday, March 5), The one5 at Hartness will feature a full bar and lunch and dinner menu with a variety of dishes.

The 05 and The 07 co-owner Geno Iozzino tells us Nelson and The 05’s executive chef, Jennifer Barone, will work together to include The 05 staples like “its famous salad” — the Crispy Brussels Sprout Salad.

However, you’ll also find new options inspired by and cooked in the wood-fired oven inside the restaurant. Nelson tells The Post and Courier Greenville that he’s “looking forward to making some unexpected dishes.” He says to not “expect a menu of dry-aged steaks and oysters Rockefeller,” but that “he promises a steak on the menu.”

The space

The menu isn’t the only change taking place. Geno says this “cozy neighborhood bar and restaurant” will undergo cosmetic updates that will have a similar look and feel to The 05, including:
  • New paint
  • Removal of upper cabinets to make the wood-fired oven a focal point
  • Transformation of the checkout counter into a bar
The interior changes will make for “a place where you can go chill or out to eat on a date,” says Geno.

The one5 at Hartness will be open Monday through Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

While The one5 at Hartness doesn’t have social media channels yet, you can follow The 05’s Facebook and Instagram for future updates.
