Back in November, we told you about New Realm Brewing Co.’s proposed plan for the Old Cigar Warehouse. Last week, that proposal + application for special exception was approved but with some stipulations.

In order to receive approval for taking over the iconic downtown event space, the brewery had to agree to adding a dedicated + reserved valet lot, a weekday closing time of 9 p.m., incorporating noise-cancelling structures around the outdoor space, and moving the event platform further away from the neighboring residential building.

At last week’s meeting, no local residents spoke in opposition to the new proposal. We’re excited to see the progress of the new space.
