The Village of West Greenville has had a big year.

The Village Grind coffee shop got two new restaurants as neighbors: The Anchorage and Golden, Brown & Delicious. Construction is ongoing to create a plaza on Perry Ave., where Kuka Juice will move in next to the coworking space Textile Hall. Music venue/bar/restaurant, Tipsy Music Pub, took over Mac Arnold’s former space + features live music nightly. And, the Growler Haus gave us a cozy neighborhood living room on Lois Ave.

Plus, studios which give the Village its “art district” title are bustling: Art & Light, SE Center For Photography, and the GCCA (Greenville Center for Creative Arts) + more.

Now, a new kind of creative community has opened its doors. Meet Railside Studios.

The previously-vacant building at 46 Lois Ave., next to the former Happy Biscuit restaurant is now home to over a dozen creatives (including the GVLtoday HQ), with 13 affordable studio spaces + five small-business units.
