Mark Zuckerberg visits Greenville

Greenville News

This is a day that students will likely *never* forget. Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook, visited the Governors School of Arts and Humanities yesterday.

It was a surprise visit, students were only told a VIP would be visiting. He spent about two hours at the school, touring and talking to students about experiences living in the state and what he should check out while here.

In January, Zuckerberg pledged to travel to all 50 states to “talk to more people about how they’re living, working and thinking about the future.”

Zuckerberg connected to the school because the director of guidance services, Lela McKnight’s son is a top executive at Facebook.
