The Fourth of July makes me want a hot dog real bad. From neighborhood grill outs to baseball game brats, summer really is the season of the hot dog.
That’s why we asked you for your favorites, and rounded up local spots to grab a dog. We’ll be frank, we know Greenville has other hot hot dog spots. If you’re favorite didn’t make our list, let us know.
Skins Hotdogs, Multiple locations
- Since 1946, Skins has been the Upstate’s go-to for a dog, stepping into Greenville in 2000.
- Pro tip: Try your dog with the secret recipe chili and a side of homemade coleslaw.
Rambo’s Hotdogs, Food cart
- Established in 2019, catch this hot dog cart around town, slingin’ Nathan’s all-beef franks.

Palmetto Fine Foods, 1209 Laurens Rd.
- This joint opened in 1959 serving “chilidogs” and has expanded its offerings (think: salads and Greek specialties like gyros) while keeping the staples.
- Pro tip: If you like your hot dogs deep fried, there’s a corndog on the kids menu.
Resident Diner, Pop up
- Known as the “Hot Dog Queen of Greenville,” Meredith’s funky toppings on tasty dogs bring a twist to an American classic.

F-Mart, 4268 Geer Hwy., Marietta
- A fan describes the hot dogs at the F-Mart as “out of this world.”
- Pro tip: If hot dogs aren’t your thing, another fan called the burgers the “best in the Upstate.”
Bee Bee’s Drive Thru, 1907 Laurens Rd., Greenville
- Don’t forget a side. One fan said, “Not only did we find a great hot dog, we found the best french fries we have had in years.”
- Pro tip: We’ve heard the sweet tea here is next-level good.
Northgate Soda Shop, 918 N. Main St., Greenville
- Not only do they have a great hot dog, but this is one of our favorite spots for comfort food.
- Pro tip: Summer is also the perfect time to order Danielle’s pick — a Coke float.
Clock Drive-In, 1844 Wade Hampton Blvd., Greenville
- Scoundrel Owner and Chef Joe Cash tells us this is the one local menu he’s bringing to a deserted island, shouting out “the hot dog all the way with half-and-half or a double chili cheeseburger.”
- Pro tip: Order the onion rings.
Corn Dogs by Mr. Cow, 700 Haywood Rd., Unit 2112
- For a new kind of dog, try a Korean Corn Dog. Choose your filling (beef sausage or cheese), and your toppings (cinnamon, potatoes, Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, caramel puffs, fruity puffs, marinara sauce, or condensed milk with kinako — a roast yellow bean powder).
- Pro tip: This restaurant is inside the Haywood Mall Food Court.
Mochinut, 1300 SC-14 C, Greer
- Also slinging Korean Corn Dogs is this sweet doughnut shop.
- Pro tip: Don’t sleep on the Boba tea.
Petee’s Drive In, 1785 White Horse Rd, Greenville
- Serving Greenville for 40+ years, this spot is also serving up breakfast classics if you’re looking to swing by earlier in the day.
- Pro tip: You can order online.
