Every year, Greenville’s Community Development Division publishes a Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER), which examines and compares Community Development’s activities with the goals set in its 2016-2017 Annual Action Plan (a.k.a. Makes sure everything is moving along smoothly). A few highlights from the 2016-2017 program include 14 properties acquired, 9 housing units constructed, and 21 homes rehabilitated.
Additionally, 178 students participated in the afterschool tutorial program, 156 families were assisted with fair housing counseling and 159 new families were assisted in the KEY Homeownership Counseling program.
Tonight, the City’s Community Development Division will host a free Neighborhood Empowerment Workshop at Nicholtown Community Center from 6 – 8 p.m. to give homeowners an opportunity to explore options for assistance and rehabilitation through the SCHelp Program.
For more information call 467-4570. The most recent draft of CAPER is now available at the Community Development office on the 5th floor of City Hall and in the South Carolina Room at the Hughes Main Library.
