It’s time to start prepping for Halloween: you’ve got 4 days to stock up on wine, text your friends with kids + plan a trick-or-treating route.

The good news: There are tons of options for trick-or-treating in addition to the classic neighborhood crawl. Here’s how Greenville is celebrating this year.

🍬 Get in the spirit:

Enchanted Forest at the Pavilion Rec Center | Oct. 26 – 28 | Fri. 6 – 9 p.m., Sat. 5 – 9 p.m. | Trick-or-treating is even better when Snow White is filling up your bucket – add carnival games, face painting + a forest maze for a magical Halloween.

Halloween at Heritage Park | Mon., Oct. 30 | 4:00 – 7:30 p.m. | There will be vendors, games + inflatable slides all evening

Boo!Seum at the Children’s Museum | Sat., Oct. 28 | 10 a.m – 3 p.m. | A more interactive Halloween experience with a day of lab experiments, playing with slime, storytime + pick-your-own bag of candy.

Autumn Harvest at TD Farmer’s Market | Sat., Oct. 28 | 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. | In addition to fall produce for adults, kids can trick or treat until noon + go on a cupcake walk and enter the costume contest.
Halloween Party with music by A-Mac & The Height | Tues., October 31 | 7 – 10 p.m. | Costume Contest, 10 Trick or Treat Stations, Food and Cash Bar. Free admission + kid friendly.

🚗 Trunk or treat:

Parks & Recreation Halloween Bash | Mon., Oct. 30 | 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. | Activities for kids and a trunk-or-treat outdoors in McPherson Park.

Bethlehem UMC | Tues., Oct. 31 | 5:30 – 7 p.m. | A family-friendly Halloween with no scary costumes, music, and games.

Rutherford Road Baptist Church | Tues., Oct. 31 | 6 – 8 p.m. | Food and activities for kids + plenty of candy.

Kroc Center | Sat, Oct. 28 | 6:30 – 9 p.m. | A bouncy house will let them work off that sugar rush, followed by a movie outdoors at 7:30 p.m to mellow things out. | Free

The Grille at Pebble Creek | Sun., Oct. 29 | 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. | Hitting the candy stations at the Grille’s first trunk-or-treat will be a lot easier than roaming the streets + the adults can fit in an evening cocktail. 😉 | Free

🍭 One stop candy-shop:

Magnolia Park Trick or Treat | Tues., Oct. 31 | 5 – 7 p.m. | Look for signs in store windows to indicate which spots are giving out candy.

Chick-fil-A of Simpsonville Trunk or Treat | Tues., Oct. 31 | 5 – 7 p.m. | Come in costume to stock up on candy and treats.

Little Monsters Halloween Bash | Swamp Rabbit Cafe and Grocery | Tues., Oct. 31 | 4 – 6 p.m. | Get the kids in the photo booth to document their costumes + let them enjoy the hayride while you grab coffee and a bite from the cafe. | Free

Boo Bash | Haywood Mall | Tues., Oct. 31 | 6 – 9 p.m. | If your kids will get bored walking from house to house, head to the mall for everything from crafts + candy to a Disney movie showing all in one place. | Free

👻 Sans-kids

Yelloween Party | UP on the Roof | Tues., Oct. 31 | 7:30 p.m. | Live DJ, plus the best rooftop view. No tickets necessary.

Nightmare on Brown Street | Jack n’ Diane’s Dueling Pianos | Sat., Oct. 28 | 7 p.m. | $10 – $15 | Hourly cash-prize costume contest, hosted by Sheri Taylor from Magic 98.9 + the Stoneman from Classic Rock 101.1.

Boo Bash | Blind Horse Saloon | Oct. 27 | 7 p.m. | Costume contests with prizes, live entertainment, and $12 pitchers.

Bonus: Here’s a list of 9 Haunted Houses to get into the spirit.

I have the best memories of trick-or-treating through local neighborhoods with my parents, but if they’d known about some of these events I can’t imagine how incredible Halloween would have been (I want to play with slime at the Children’s Museum!).

Keep the full guides from Greenville News, Kidding Around Greenville + Upstate Parent pulled up to stay involved with everything going on – good luck out there. 👻
