We’re just 4 sleeps ‘til Greenville Triumph’s home opener – this Saturday, April 6. Yes, we’re pretty hyped. That’s why we’ve gathered up all you need to know before you head to the game. ⚽

Here’s how they landed in GVL.

It’s the Triumph’s inaugural season, but there’s been some confusion between them and the Greenville Football Club (click here to learn the difference). The Triumph team is professional and part of the United Soccer League (USL) League One – just one of a few in the nation. So, why Greenville? It’s all due to our city’s growth, global biz community + youth soccer scene.

The team will play at Legacy Charter School on East Bramlett Rd., with ~4,000 seats + a permanent scoreboard recently added to the upgraded field. (Bonus for Legacy Early College students: Triumph job + internship ops).

This is who you’ll want to snap a selfie with.

  • John Harkes, Head Coach: National Soccer Hall of Famer, former U.S. national team player + former head coach of USL club FC Cincinnati. NBD. He’s a big deal in the soccer world and is a “huge win” for the team and for GVL. More info about him here.
  • Ryan McKie, Strength & Conditioning Coach: six-time Junior Olympics medalist, former Furman University wide receiver and kick returner, co-owner of Knight Performance Factory in Greenville and trainer of athletes from the PGA, NFL, MLB and more. More on him here.
  • 20 players make up the inaugural season roster – coming from 7 different countries. Put faces to names here.

Don’t miss these games.

Here’s how to get tickets.

  • Single game tickets start at $17/seat.
  • Group outings (of 15 or more people) start at $12/seat.
  • Season tickets (for all 15 home games) start out at $188/seat and max out at $798/seat for field-level seating (with in-seat service and private bathrooms). Fancy.
  • See other packages (like 5-game fixed + flex vouchers) here.
  • The Reedy River Riot is an independent supporters group for the Greenville Triumph Soccer Club, and their standing section, Section 110, is general admission (member or not).

Need-to-know stadium info.

The Triumph operates on a clear bag policy. Re-entry to the game is not allowed; neither are strollers or smoking. Alcohol is sold at concessions stands on-site (but limited to 2 drinks/person at a given time). The main grandstands are ADA accessible. Full FAQ here.

Worried about parking? Don’t be. 🚗 The team has created sufficient parking near the field + you can bike to the stadium via the Prisma Health Swamp Rabbit Trail.

How to look the part.

Scarves, jerseys, cozy sherpa pullovers – even Nike branded swag. Check out all of the Triumph merch in their online store.

(Now are you as pumped as we are? If not, maybe
this hype video will get you there.)
