Just a few months after The Strip Club 104 closed its doors at 104 E. Poinsett St., Rick Erwin Dining Group has reopened them to introduce Rick Erwin’s Greer .

We got a sneak peek at the space and menu before it opens this month.

The space

While some elements of The Strip Club 104 remain (read: built-in cabinets), multiple renovations have been made to the space, from exposing the ceiling to expanding the bar (including a wheelchair-accessible bar area).

Art Houzze -curated art runs throughout the restaurant, with each piece “hand-selected to complement the restaurant’s ambiance and aesthetics.” Featured local artists include:

The outdoor patio features string lights, a garden — which is a National Wildlife Federation Certified Wildlife Habitat — and seating ready for patrons to enjoy a sip al fresco.

The food
Like some of the dining group’s other locations, its Greer restaurant will be a classic steakhouse that will cater to “foodies and steak lovers alike.”

Executive Chef Scott Ostrander , from Rick Erwin’s Eastside, will serve a variety of dishes, from ribeyes and filets to seafood to chef features “unique to the Greer location.” Menu items that caught our eye include:

  • Jalapeño Candied Bacon | Start off with bacon thick-cut in house and featuring jalapeño brown sugar and horseradish pickles.
  • 16 oz Dry-Aged Delmonico Ribeye | Rick Erwin’s Greer steaks are sourced from Meats by Linz in Chicago — add an enhancement like Truffle Chive Butter or Cold-Water Lobster Tail.
  • The Company Crab Cakes | Dig into two cakes garnished with corn relish, green tomato salsa verde, and crispy onions. Bonus: Indulge for a good cause .

Rick Erwin’s Greer is open Monday-Thursday, 4 to 10 p.m. + Friday-Saturday, 4-11 p.m. Reservations can be made through Open Table .
