Mary, here. As engagement editor, my job is to plan what our team writes about (keep those suggestions coming), work with our ah-mazing partners, and help elevate the community voice in our brand.

This is where you come in.

Introducing Voices: A community-submitted section to our email and website.
What?

We’re inviting you to write for us. We want to publish reader-submitted content right on our site, then push out to over 22,000+ daily subscribers and our 40,000+ social media audience.
Our format will stay the same, but you’ll see more content on the website. Plus, part of our newsletter will feature community submissions and pushed to Facebook, Twitter, and even Instagram. (As always, keep tagging #GVLtoday). We’ll still produce original content and curate the best news, though.
Why?

We alone do not represent our entire community. We want to give you the best of what you need to know about Greenville every day. (It’s literally our mission).

This includes the advice, perspective, opinions, and commentary from parents, artists, musicians, retail workers, entrepreneurs, chefs, students, athletes, photographers, teachers, and more. Plus, black, Hispanic, Latino, Asian readers; Greenville natives & new-to-towners; the senior citizens and high schoolers alike.

These voices (plus so many more) make up our Upstate community. Together, we can create content that represents our entire community.

Our team of three doesn’t have the perspective of all who consume our content. So why not just let you tell it the way you see it?

How?

We want to hear first-person perspectives.

Have an idea for how to make Main St. more bikeable? Are you a burger aficionado and want to rank your favorites 1–10? Are you a parent of a tot and want to share your favorite parks?
Write it up, send it in. Here’s how.
