The zodiac signs as Greenville neighborhoods

Your home, your favorite coffee shop, your daily commute aren’t just written in the skyline — they may be written in the stars.

One of the most loveable things about Greenville is the distinct character found in each neighborhood, district, and corner of town. They all have their own personalities and purposes — some would say it was written in the stars. Let’s take a look at how our neighborhoods align with the zodiac signs.

Aquarius: Hampton Pinckney | Jan. 20- Feb. 18

This neighborhood is all about bringing people together, just like an Aquarius.

Hampton Pinckney loves its residents, and the residents feel the same way. Mark your calendars for the annual Hampton Pinckney Porchfest.

Pisces: The Village of West Greenville | Feb. 19-March 20

The Village provides the perfect artistic moment for a Pisces to thrive.

The Village has plenty of ways to stir your creative juices — whether it’s literal juice from Kuka Juice, or a new tattoo from Blind Tiger Tattoo Co.

Aries: Downtown | March 21-April 19

Known as the passionate and confident leader of the zodiac, an Aries would feel right at home Downtown.

Downtown is bustling with places to go and food to try, so it’s hard to narrow this down but we would say visiting Falls Park + eating at a Table 301 restaurant give those confident and passionate vibes.

Taurus: Augusta Road | April 20-May 20

The family-oriented nature of this sign is the perfect match for Augusta Road.

Our ideal day on Augusta Road: Have lunch at The 05, shop for your kids (or yourself) at The Elephant’s Trunk, and end the day with a baked good from The Bakery Off Augusta.

Gemini: Sans Souci | May 21-June 20

Gemini’s tend to have two sides to their personalities, just like Sans Souci.

Sans Souci is a mixed bag of historic mansions and brand new renovated ranches. A visit to Sans Souci Community Garden is a must. We recommend bringing a book to read that will make you laugh and cry.

Cancer: West End | June 21-July 22

The sentimental and gentle nature of this sign is the perfect match for the West End.

Relive your childhood by visiting catching a Greenville Drive game at Fluor Field and relax with a drink or a snack at Gather GVL.

Leo: Southernside | July 23-Aug. 22

Southernside is a perfect fit for the welcoming and proud nature that a Leo embodies.

Southernside is all about being welcoming. Stop by Southernside Brewing for a pint, soak up some sun with your besties at Unity Park, and play baseball at the up-and-coming Mayberry Field.

Virgo: North Main | Aug. 23-Sept. 22

As a lover of comfort but enjoy the finer things, you’ll feel right at home in North Main.

The residents of North Main are comfy and cozy, but have plenty of access to downtown. Who wouldn’t want to live that close to the Greenville Zoo?

Libra: Overbrook | Sept. 23-Oct. 22

The unique businesses of Overbrook embody the eclectic nature of an Libra.

We recommend starting the day with an aerial yoga class from C.O.R.E Grow Strong, grabbing lunch at Harry’s Hoagie Shoppe or weekend brunch at Fork and Plough, and finishing off with a Scout’s Doughnut or a scoop from Clare’s.

Scorpio: Berea | Oct. 23-Nov. 21

The emotional and passionate aura of Berea perfectly encapsulates this water sign.

Being passionate is a full time job, and if you’re in Berea and are passionate about food, you have to visit The Big Clock of Berea + take an after-meal stroll on the Prisma Health Swamp Rabbit Trail.

Sagittarius: Alta Vista | Nov. 22-Dec. 21

As an adventure seeker, there’s always something to do in Alta Vista.

Get your vintage fix at Greystone Antiques, grab a funky pizza + breadsticks from Sidewall Pizza Company.

Capricorn: Parkins Mill | Dec. 22- Jan. 19

With how hardworking you are, you’ll be pleased to hear this was a once-operational mill.

While most mills in Greenville were producing textiles, this mill was unique (just like a Capricorn) and produced flour + meal.
