This is a Voices piece, by Andrea Huerta, a co-leader of the Greenville Bloggers Union. (Learn how to submit your own Voices.)

Like supers from The Incredibles, Greenville bloggers are hidden all around us. They’re normal, everyday citizens with a sometimes secret identity. Believe it or not, bloggers in Greenville don’t just exist; the Greenville Bloggers Union is around 100 local bloggers strong (and growing!), forming an inclusive community of unique blogs and stories.

That said, Greenville Bloggers are also a rising community of voices that are fighting an uphill battle to be heard and low visibility given to (blog) links on Facebook.

So, you have to ask. If it’s hard and often unpaid work, why do our local bloggers still band together and write? Sit down with them over a cup of joe and you’ll see a common theme — they each long for a creative outlet and know they have something unique inside them to share.

Don’t believe me? Check out a bunch of our bloggers below and support local! Don’t see your blog on the list? Add it here. Want to connect with the Greenville Blogger community? Visit here.
