That’s what Furman men’s soccer head coach Doug Allison said after the Paladins fell to the Washington Huskies 3-1 in the semifinal of the College Cup last night.
Though the storybook season didn’t end with a trip to the National Championship, the Paladins still have a lot to celebrate, including this first-ever trip to college soccer’s biggest stage during Allison’s final season.

The Dapper Dog Bark & Brew Bar will close its doors after service on Saturday, Dec. 27. “What started as a dream grew into a community, a family, and a place where everyone knew your dog’s name,” it said in its closing post.

The teddy bear toss at the Greenville Swamp Rabbits game. This fan-favorite tradition will feature thousands of stuffed animals thrown on the ice when the Swamp Rabbits score their first goal. This year’s goal is a record-breaking 10,000 toys, which will be donated to seven local organizations for the holiday season. Limited tickets remain.

Simpsonville City Council has authorized its city administrator to begin contract negotiations with a new, unnamed company to manage CCNB Amphitheatre at Heritage Park, following the city’s decision to end its agreement with TRZ Management in 2026.
