The Peace Center’s 180-seat listening room, The Mockingbird, will open in January on Main Street. A yearlong “Song Sessions” series curated by Nashville songwriter Maia Sharp debuts Saturday, Jan. 17 at 7:30 p.m., with monthly Friday and Saturday shows and Saturday workshops. A new off-road biking feature called Rad Rabbit 2 is hopping onto the Swamp Rabbit Trail near Lakeview Middle School. The 1,000-ft dirt path — complete with cedar-and-steel features — will be open to all skill levels when it’s completed next month. (The Post and Courier Greenville)

Veterans Day, a federal holiday commemorating people who have served in the United States Armed Forces, is Tuesday, Nov. 11. The City of Greenville will dedicate the Honor Tower at Unity Park on Tuesday. Here are other events to commemorate the day:
