It’s official. Greenville is in the Michelin Guide for the first time in history. The inaugural American South Guide was unveiled at the Peace Center last night.
Scoundrel was the city’s only restaurant to earn a star — one star means it’s “Worth a stop.”

“It’s the hottest table in town, and reservations are a must, though seats at the bar feel far from a consolation prize,” Michelin’s news release says about the Main Street spot.
There are other ways to earn a mention in the guide, and four other local restaurants (and one Charleston spot with a Greenville location) did just that.
