So, what’s the verdict? We are an autumn.“Gilmore Girls” superfanseasily caught that reference. ‘Tis the season to hit replay on one of our favorite comfort shows, known for its fall vibes as the leaves change in New England.
While Greenville may not be Stars Hollow — and the leaves change a bit later in the season down South — we’ve put together an interactive map inspired by the show so you can live like a Gilmore Girl this fall.

Start your morning at Luke’s, or in our case Vintage Coffee Cafe. This Overbrook coffee shop is a great spot for when you “need coffee in an I.V.” + boasts a food menu that would make Luke and Caesar proud with hot cakes, pastries, salads, and sandwiches.

If you’re looking to live the morning Caesar took over and made chilaquiles, we recommend breakfast at Comal 864 for some of our favorite chilaquiles in Greenville.

Looking for a coastal getaway full of holiday cheer? Enter: A weekend trip to Mount Pleasant, SC.
Just 30 minutes from Charleston, this charming town lights up for the season with festive decor, holiday markets, and one of the Lowcountry’s largest Christmas parades. If we only had a weekend in December, here’s what we’d do:
🎁 Friday, Dec. 12
Stroll through Shem Creek or The Old Village to admire homes decked out in twinkling lights, then pop into Mount Pleasant Towne Centre or the boutiques along Pitt Street for unique gifts and local finds.
🎄 Saturday, Dec. 13 Soak up the holiday spirit at the annual Holiday Market & Craft Show, featuring handcrafted works by local artisans, baked goods, and live entertainment.
✨ Sunday, Dec. 14
Catch the Mount Pleasant Christmas Light Parade along West Coleman Boulevard, kicking off with a dazzling fireworks show. Wrap up the weekend with a relaxing walk in one of the town’s scenic parks.

I’m incredibly excited to be on the road again today for a very fun meeting. If you’re an avid and longtime reader, you know that Jessalin Heins-Nagamoto occasionally fills in on GVLtoday and spent about a month working in our market before I joined the team a few years ago.
Though we chat for work nearly every day, this is my first time meeting her in person. She’s visiting Raleigh, so I simply had to make the drive.
To celebrate, I’m dropping three of my favorite stories she’s written for us:
