Greenville County Council approved a resolution to study development impact fees in unincorporated areas. What’s next? The planning commission will now research potential fees and create a capital improvement plan. Greenville County is pressing pause on a decision about cluster housing (where residential units are grouped together on smaller lots). County leaders say the current code is being misinterpreted and used to “develop land in a manner detrimental to the citizens of Greenville County.” A public hearing is set for September.
