Lefty’s West End Tavern opens Thursday, July 10, and I got a sneak peek of the brand new Table 301 sports bar, bringing comfort food and bar bites next to Fluor Field.
“We’re not recreating any menu items here that people don’t love,” said Table 301 President + CEO Carl Sobocinski. “We chose the menu because we think these are the things people love to eat: They’re comfortable, they’re familiar, and we make them from scratch with love from our kitchen.”
My favorite bites were the Maryland crab pretzel for a starter, the smashburger for a main, and the ice cream cookie sandwich for dessert.
For the hot dog fans — Lefty’s has a special new monthly challenge. Keep scrolling to learn more.

12 months, 12 hot dogs
Lefty’s says it couldn’t be a sports bar next to a ballpark and not sell hot dogs. | Photos by GVLtoday
Table 301 is teaming up with the Greenville Drive to bring a brand new restaurant to the former Liberty Taproom + The Bellwether space: Lefty’s West End Tavern, officially opening Thursday, July 10.
As you peruse the menu, note the challenge next to the sandwiches: the Tour of Ballpark Dogs. Each month, Lefty’s will launch a specialty dog. When you try it, you earn a punch on your Hot Dog Punch Card. Get 12 punches by trying all 12 feature dogs and win a gift from Lefty.
The Lefty’s team tells us there will be other surprises along the way for devoted fans who stop in every month for the specialty dog.
July’s feature is the “Bay Area Brat” featuring a Rallyville Beer-braised bratwurst with grilled onions, pico de Gallo, arugula, avocado dijonnaise, served on a gourmet bun.
“It’s California-ed up,” said Chef Rodney Freidank.
Though Freidank says the complete lineup of dogs is planned, you’ll have to wait and see what’s next when the calendar flips to August.

I’m excited to try more of the cocktail menu at Lefty’s after this Grand Slam Spritz knocked it out of the park. It’s the perfect summer sipper made with Rumhaven coconut rum, Select aperitivo, pineapple, and prosecco.
