Got a green thumb but nowhere to start? Greenville County has a community garden program, and some plots are still available. Though the season begins April 1 and runs through March 31, 2026, you can still reserve a space and get to growing.

Your $60 membership gets you a four-by-eight-ft raised bed in a fenced-in garden space with access to water and composting.

Here’s where you can find the gardens:
Pro tip: If the garden is full, send an email to secure a spot on the waitlist.

Want to start your own community garden? The Clemson Cooperative Extension has a guide to help you get started. You can also call on the Greenville Master Gardeners to support with basic gardening skills, site selection, soil testing and improvement, plot design and crop planning, pest and disease management, and irrigation.

News Notes

Eat

The building that once housed Mary’s at Falls Cottage will transform into a new eatery and small events space — called Stone Cottage — run by the owners of Passarelle Bistro. The plan is to keep as much of the original structure intact as possible, while creating a “more functional space.”

Development

Trueline, meet Table 301. Trueline has gained some new investors (like Table 301 Hospitality founder Carl Sobocinski and Encore Bank) + is now working with Alabama-based contractors Brasfield & Gorrie. The music and entertainment venue is still set to open in the first quarter of 2026. (Upstate Business Journal)

Cause

Do you believe in magic? TD Synnex’s annual Share the Magic event is back at Fluor Field on Tuesday, June 17. In partnership with The Greenville Drive, ticket sales for this event benefit local non-profits Clement’s Kindness, Pendleton Place, A Child’s Haven, and Make-A-Wish SC. (Greenville Journal)

Art

Premier Arts Collective unveiled its newest mural, “You Belong,” on the side of Front Porch Housing’s D building on Cleveland Street. Created by artist Ninja Picasso, the 48-by-36-ft is a colorful representation that “art belongs to everyone.” (Greenville Journal)

Smoky, spicy, and just sweet enough — this quick and easy cauliflower dish gets its golden char from a quick pan sear and finishes with a honey-orange glaze. Plus, Spanish paprika adds warmth while red pepper flakes bring a little bite. Get cooking.*
