There’s a time capsule on the market, and it’s getting some online attention. This “near-perfect” midcentury modern home caught the eye of Zillow Gone Wild, an Instagram account with 2.1 million followers highlighting unique homes for sale. With 20,000+ likes on the post shared last week, how could we not put it front and center for Mansion Monday?
The four-bedroom, three-bathroom home at 22 Lakecrest Dr. sits on a double lot along Stone Lake and was designed by architect Charles Potter, influenced by Frank Lloyd Wright.
“The kitchen is both a time capsule and a marvel of post-war ingenuity,” the listing boasts. In addition to refinished original cabinetry, it features aluminum drawers from the post-WWII era “when surplus aluminum from airplane factories flooded the market.”

Coach even (almost) twerked with the Dancing Umpire, but got camera-shy. | Video by GVLtoday
Ahead of playing in front of a sold-out Memorial Stadium on Saturday night, the Savannah Bananas found themselves sitting in front of Clemson Football Head Coach Dabo Swinney for some words of wisdom. We were on the sidelines as player after player approached Swinney, shook his hand, and thanked him for the “best speech ever.”
Bananas Head Coach Tyler Gillum, Director of Baseball Operations Adam Virant + Catcher Bill LeRoy gave us a peek into the closed team meeting. Click the button below for the inspiration they’re taking back to Savannah.
As for Coach Swinney, he told us it was “unreal” seeing the stadium like this, and he enjoyed the game as a spectator, after leading the Bananas down the hill(of course).
“This is the first time I’ve been to a game that I wasn’t on the sidelines coaching,” Swinney said. “This is wild.”
The Travelers Rest Planning Commission recommended the city deny the annexation and rezoning requests for the proposed Inn at Altamont site. For the measure to pass, City Council will need a three-quarters supermajority vote. (Greenville Journal)

There’s a new mural along the Prisma Health Swamp Rabbit Trail. “For The Love of Water” — painted by Adam Schrimmer and Mister InkWells for Blank Canvas Mural Co. — was inspired by the local environment and showcases local flowers found along the river, along with wildlife found along the trail to celebrate ReWa turning 100.

I can’t believe I’m putting this in the newsletter. While Dabo Swinney may not have twerked alongside the Dancing Umpire, I did. However, in Dabo’s defense, I am equally afraid for it to be on the internet. Instead of posting that video, please enjoy a GIF of the professionals dancing (and other highlights).
If I were answering my own “Asked” today, I’d say, “unforgettable.”
