Toy company Plus-Plus — founded in Denmark-native toy company but has its head office + warehouse in Greenville — is now offering tours.
Plus-Plus won 2025’s Toy of the Year from The Toy Foundation. We recently got to tour the Greenville facility and chat with CEO Ryan Hamilton.
What exactly is Plus-Plus?
The toy — somewhat shaped like a puzzle piece — can be used for 2D or 3D creations. You can purchase pieces by the tube that come with instructions for specific designs, or you can place a custom order and let your imagination run wild.
Where can I find Plus-Plus?
You can shop online, find the toy at local stores like M. Judson Booksellers, or buy them on Amazon. There’s a store locator so you can find Plus-Plus near you.

Keep your eyes towards the skies
It’s a bird, its a plane, it’s a Lyrid meteor. | Photo by Phillip Chee via Wikimedia Commons
Mete-or not, here they come. The Lyrid meteor shower — one of the oldest known meteor showers, according to NASA Science — will be visible in the Upstate on Monday, April 21 + Tuesday, April 22.
Try viewing the meteor shower between midnight and dawn (there will be around 18 meteors per hour during this time)
Look straight above you in the sky
Find a dark place with no lights or obstructions (like buildings or trees)
Don’t use binoculars
Lyrids don’t leave a trail, so don’t be on the lookout for those. Instead, keep your eyes peeled for a “fireball,” or a bright flash of light. Good luck and happy gazing.
The Buy
A breathable long-sleeve tee, great to pair with jeans and jackets on cool spring days.
I called my dad after my visit to Plus-Plus and told him what I was doing. He said, “You really do have the coolest job ever, don’t you?” I couldn’t disagree. Remember when I got to pet cows for work?
