How do you become a CTA?
Class is in session. First, you enroll in a $25 CTA class. Then, you’ll be emailed some pre-class reading material. I’m not going to lie: it’s a hefty packet, but it’s filled with cool facts about Greenville.
What’s the class like?
Here’s the best part. The class is filled with other people who love Greenville and want to learn more about it. To pass the class, you take an open-book exam.

Construction on the Church Street Bridge starts next Tuesday, April 15 + the SC Department of Transportation began closing inside lanes of the US Highway 29 bridge yesterday in preparation. The speed limit on the overpass is now 25 mph, so slow down and stay safe. (Greenville Journal)

The Woodlands at Furman — an upscale retirement community — broke ground on its expansion project late last week. The 22-unit apartment complex will feature a library, a social game lounge, a volunteer center, and an event space. (Upstate Business Journal)

All the races happen on Thursday, April 24. The day starts with the men’s amateur category at 3:15 p.m. and ends with the men’s pro at 8:15 p.m., with a lot of racing in between. Peep at the whole schedule.
Who will be there?
Tour de France legends George Hincapie, Bobby Julich, and Christian Vande Velde will be cruising around the course for one lap at 5:15. If you’ve dreamed of riding with the pros, now’s your chance. If spectating is more your thing, you can do that too.
If you want to get involved, volunteer for course tear-down after the race. It would be wheelie nice of you.
