It’s all fun and games

GVLtoday Game Show Challenge
Great games, great company, great time. | Photo by GVLtoday
City Editor Stephanie here. For my 31st birthday, some friends and I tried The Game Show Challenge, an interactive game show experience right here in Greenville. I’m here to let you in on the fun so you can try it for yourself.

Pre show

We recommend booking your experience in advance to ensure you get the time slot you want. When you show up with your group in the lobby, you’ll make some fun game show-esque name tags, and separate into two groups. Each group decides on a team name.

Show time

Once you step through the doors of the game space, you’re transported. There are podiums with your team name on it, a giant wheel, a plinko-style board, a control booth, and a huge screen.

For our game, the person who helped us in the lobby was in the control booth as the producer. He announced our host who came out and explained how the game would work.

City Editor Stephanie’s picks

Grateful Brew | The vibes at Grateful Brew are immaculate. You feel right at home in the comfy, plant-filled inside, or you can soak up some sun on the patio.

Wine House | There’s something very fancy about grabbing your book and enjoying a glass (or three) of wine at Wine House. If you go, tell Sarah that I sent you.

City Editor Danielle’s picks

The Grand Bohemian Lodge | Sitting on the deck overlooking the falls, enjoying a cocktail at Spirit and Bower by the fire, or getting cozy in the library, you can’t go wrong with reading at The Lodge.

Greenville County Libraries | Call me old fashioned, but there’s something special about checking out a book + you can find me browsing at the Five Forks branch and reading a sample before I head home.
