You don’t have to be an extrovert to create a meaningful network. | Photos provided by Endeavor Greenville
Networking doesn’t have to feel like a chore. It can be an effortless part of your day — even if you’re not a fan of small talk. Whether you’re at a business event or coffee shop, there are plenty of local chances to connect with others in meaningful ways. Pro tip: Focus on building genuine relationships, not just collecting contacts.
Here are some tips from Endeavor to build your network in 2025:
Be curious. Instead of trying to impress, show interest in the other person. Ask thoughtful questions — like you’re on a podcast — and listen intentionally.

Greenville can be green all year long. | Photos by Judi + Jeff B. and Laura C.
Last year (we still think it’s crazy to say that, too), we shared some Greenville winter gardening tips + asked if you had any cold-weather gardening success stories. Here are a few:
“We start prepping the garden dirt early in the fall and it works well for us. Our okra, peppers, red potatoes, and peas were divine. The okra provided great harvests right up to November and grew to over eight-feet tall. The snap peas and cow peas we grew this year were divine and Amadeus (the lovely blue bird) helped in the garden daily.” — Jeff and Judi B.
“I wanted to share how thrilled I am with my winter garden this year. I decided to take advantage of the milder weather and planted a variety of vegetables, including broccoli, mixed lettuce, brussels sprouts, radishes, and mustard greens. Everything has been growing so well, and I have been enjoying the fresh, homegrown produce.”

A few years ago, I made a vow with myself to try and cut down on fast fashion. I would say that my closet is currently full of ~40% thrifted items. I get such a rush finding a great piece at a vintage shop, and my favorite is Old Skool Outfitter. Check them out if you haven’t, they’re across the street + down the stairs from M. Judson.
