Can you feel the local holiday spirit? | Screenshot via Brother Oliver
There’s a new one-of-a-kind light show in Simpsonville that not only gets us in the holiday spirit, it does one of our favorite things — celebrate Greenvillians.
Andrew + Stephen Oliver are known for their band Brother Oliver + the Guinness World Record they broke. Ryan White, Brother Oliver’s biggest fan, built a light show in his yard incorporating the band’s documentary film, “How to Break a World Record.”
The lights at this interactive show are synced with the band’s music + the audio track of the movie. You can also catch parts of the movie on a big screen... made of individual lights.
White said it took him hours to set up and there are ~10,000 pixel lights that he pushed in himself. The show is ~20 minutes long and you can catch it at 205 Carrick Dr., Simpsonville.
If you’re looking for even more to light up your life, check out this list of holiday light spots from Kidding Around Greenville.

The Buy
A puffy laptop case. It features a waterproof design, secure magnetic closure, and handy inner pocket for added storage.
We did a Secret Santa gift exchange at 6AM City (GVLtoday’s parent company) and City Editor Erika from CHStoday was mine. She got me the cutest pair of strawberry earrings + a candle that says “smells like she’s watching horror movies again.” They’re both perfect.
