We know the question on your mind, Greenvillians — when’s it going to snow again? Thanks to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Climate Prediction Center, we know what temperatures and precipitation trends to expect in our city for January, February, and March.
While exact weather conditions typically can’t be predicted more than a week in advance, here’s a seasonal outlook to help you prepare for what winter will bring.
🌡️ Temperature
Think... warmer. This winter, Greenville has higher chances of temperatures being higher than normal.
🌨️ Precipitation
This is a little below average. Greenville should expect less precipitation than in other years.
☀️ Drought
Make it rain. We’re not likely to see drought conditions this season.

The site of a former gas station in Simpsonville (on South Main Street next to The Slice) will soon become an entertainment complex called Community Hub Plaza.
The new spot will feature:
16,000-sqft of outdoor space
Duckpin bowling
Golf simulators
Karaoke
A gastropub
Construction should start in the spring of 2025 and last a year, so you have until then to get your duckpins in a row.
$50 million. That’s how much Greenlink’s new maintenance + operations facility located on Arcadia Drive cost. The new spot features seven maintenance bays, two service bays, 10 natural gas fueling stations, and 16 electric bus chargers. (Greenville Journal)
