Calling all pickleball fans. The Picklr, an indoor pickleball facility, is coming to the North Hills Shopping Center (where the new Sprout’s is) in March 2025.

What can we expect in the space?

The ~25,000-sqft space will feature:
  • Eight pro-quality pickleball courts
  • A pro shop
  • Private event + lounge space
  • Locker rooms
  • Grab-and-go food + beverages

Why Greenville?

Co-founder of Waymore Sports (the national franchise operator of The Picklr) Jay Sartori said they chose Greenville because of our “growth and strong pickleball community.” By 2028, Waymore Sports hopes to have 66 facilities in the US.

Satori told Upstate Business Journal, “We’re able to basically choose beautiful locations like Greenville and many of the other cities we’re going into where we know there’s a lot of players with the heavy desire and thirst for great indoor pickleball.”

If you’re like us, you had this popular movie on repeat growing up. Hint: It features a pup named Pooka.

Now, the new Broadway adaptation of “Anastasia” is making its regional debut at the Greenville Theatre on select evenings from Thursday, Dec. 5 to Sunday, Dec. 22 (with Saturday and Sunday matinees).

Based on the 1997 animated film, this captivating show set during the Russian Revolution brings songs like “Journey to the Past” and “Once Upon a December” to life.

Audiences will be transported to a world of mystery, adventure, and romance. They’ll also meet an ex-aristocrat, a dashing conman, and the orphan Anya and see how the group solves the mystery of what happened to the Grand Dutchess Anastasia Romanov.

Bring the whole family to witness Anya’s journey to find home, love, and family this holiday season as she rediscovers who she was — once upon a December.
